Electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphate) are responsible for stimulating the muscles and nervous system.  They also regulate fluids within the body.  This natural booster is a far better choice than sugary commercial sports drinks to boost your electrolyte level.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 6-1/2 oz frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 small avocado
  • 1/4 baby fennel bulb
  • 1/4 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup firmly packed baby spinach leaves
  • 1 Tbsp Lime juice
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Directions

  1. blend ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth and no bits and pieces can be seen.
  2. Serve immediately over ice, topped with a slice of lime (optional)

Notes

Instead of spinach you can use firmly packed baby kale leaves
