This shake is great for rebalancing hormones. You can keep your greens in a glass container in the freezer to use in smoothies, which makes them easier to add. This shake is a delicious and nutritious way to get extra greens into your diet. Note that the chia seeds are soaked ahead of time so there is plenty of time for the soluble fiber to soak up to ten to twelve times its weight in water, creating a gel-like consistency that makes the shake creamier. Drinking a shake containing this chia water increases satiety.

1 scoop or 1/2 serving protein powder, vanilla
1/2-1 Tbsp coconut oil
6+ ice cubes
Optional: 1 scoop organic greens powder
Optional: 1-2 scoops supplemental prebiotic fiber
Optional: 1/2 cup homemade milk or nut milk Kefir
Ice is not necessary to add if you like your smoothie cool or at room temperature. You may however, need to add a bit more filtered water or you can pour the smoothie into a bowel and add a tablespoon of granola to the top before eating.
