Cherry & Walnut Smoothie

Did you Know:  Cherries are rich in antioxidants.  Some research also suggests they help prevent the risk of stroke, reduce post-exercise muscle pain and contain melatonin that supports healthy sleep.

Ingredients

1/4 cup walnuts

2 Tbls Almond kernels, raw and roughly chopped

1 cup Almond or coconut milk, unsweetened

1 cup frozen pitted dark cherries

1Tbs Chia seeds

1Tbs Flax Seed

2 leaves Dino kale roughly torn

Optional:  Dietary Fiber powder, doTERRA

Optional: Colligan powder (Antient Nutrition)

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients including optional ingredients into blender and on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour it into a bowl or eat from the container.  You can top with a few more chopped walnut and chia seeds

Notes

The addition of Flax seeds to this smoothie make it high in Omega-3 fats good for hormone balancing and brain function.
